stay alive/ignore armor E/N build, what do you guys think?
1. armor of earth
2. glyph of restoration
3. ether prism
4. vampiric gaze
5. blood of the aggresor
6. vampiric touch
7. shadow strike
8. rez signet
energy storage-14 earth magic-14 blood magic-10 (i'll get a few more attribute points when i max out promotion levels)
i have 102 energy and 400 health. i'll have 500 health when i finally get those rune thingies.
basically, activate armor of the earth when i see enemies moving toward me.
then fire off shadow strike to do some big early damage. then alternate between the different blood skills (but don't use vampiric touch unless they're on top of me). after cycling through all my attack skills, i hit glyph of restoration and ether prism, which totally refills my energy and health. rinse and repeat. this build can go toe-to-toe with warriors and easily win, and can survive forever unless your teammates all die on you. plus all my attacks completely ignore enemy armor.

I'm not sure I've thought about it enough to actually make a viable comment.... but it doesn't look all that special to me.
I mean... yer average Curses or Blood Necro can go toe-to-toe with warriors and easily win too... and they have Soul Reaping for energy management. They don't need to waste the Elite slot on it.

This build is ... bad.
Ele's aren't about "going toe to toe" with warriors. It's about dealing lots of AoE damage, blinding or snaring. They're support damage class for the most part.
Ether Prism is just terrible energy management.
So yeah, I can't type much more... Ele =/= Necro.
In before "innovation, think outside box, cookie cutter" etc.

Vamp skills aren't really scary. If that's the way you want to go, may as well be a toucher.

This build is pretty bad, it would be better for you to just roll a necro and make a blood build. Eles should stick to their elements. Oh and not to mention as a necro you have SR so you don't really have to worry about energy especially in the bm line of skills. If this is for PvE you should just play a SF or any other useful build, if it's for AB/RA/TA I can tell you that you'd die pretty quick especially if you are planning on spiking down foes one at a time rather than dealing AoE damage.
Going toe-to-toe (basically 1v1) against warriors isn't something to brag about it doesn't take long to kill a warrior if you know what you're doing. And what's the point of surviving if your whole team is dead? lol. If your team is dead you are going to die, this build will just allow you to stay alive for maybe 5 seconds longer which is pointless.

Either prism also requires you to have 50 energy while casting it (to have 25 after the cast), and also needs 12 or more energy storage. That really limits spamming of high energy spells unless you like switching to your high energy set every cast in PvE, and I'm generally pretty lazy when I can. It also limits the build selection, as you can't reliably hybrid.
